Pearson to exhibit at SCIS AGM/Annual Conference 2011

The Roxburghe Hotel, Charlotte Square, Edinburgh will be the focus of the Scottish Council of Independent Schools (SCIS) AGM/Annual Conference 2011 on Thursday 28th April.

The theme of this year's event is, "A Culture of Excellence" and the guest speaker is Professor Lindsay Paterson. The event begins at 9:00am and concludes at around 3:00pm following the afternoon workshops.

Pearson Phoenix celebrate the success of parent company

Pearson, the global education and information company, today received The Queen’s Award for Enterprise, in the International Trade category, for its success in growing global sales. The awards are made by HM The Queen, on the advice of the Prime Minister, who is assisted by an Advisory Committee. The award was announced on today’s birthday of Queen Elizabeth II.

Pearson is headquartered in London and operates in more than 60 countries around the world, employing 37,000 people including about 6,000 in the U.K.
